Most of our smart devices need to be recharged regularly. As our life gets more attached to technology, it makes perfect sense that we need to make sure that our devices can be recharged whenever needed. Having in-car charging solution is a no brainer.

When it comes to batteries and charging accessories, Anker is de facto dominant brand in today’s market. They make good products and their prices are reasonable. That’s why, I was quick to check their website and end up with PowerDrive charger. As information, Anker as wide range of PowerDrive chargers. Some of them have 1, 2 or 4 USB ports. Some come with built-in cable. The regular models have red ring around the surface. There is also Elite models that does not have the red ring, but the USB ports has built-in blue LED that will glow as long as the charger is attached to the car’s outlet. Finally, there are models with special support of Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 technology.

I choose Anker PowerDrive Speed 2 ports because it combines 2 major features that I need: glowing LED and QC 3.0. I need the glowing LED to make it easier to find the USB port. It makes a lot of difference at night, or at any situation when the area around the outlet is not well lit. QC 3.0 is needed for some Android devices that support it, usually devices with larger battery that will take forever to charge with regular charger. I decided that 2 ports should be enough, especially because I already have 2 built-in USB ports for charging.

Anker PowerDrive Speed 2 ports can deliver up to 39W of power. Patented PowerIQ and VoltageBoost deliver high-speed charging to non-Quick Charge devices, making it the fastest possible charger for virtually all modern devices in the market today. This charger does get a bit warm when charging 2 devices simultaneously, but so I far I find it to be very reliable.

Definitely happy with my choice. Hopefully this charger will last long.
