I have a lot of chargers for my phones and other smart devices. I have charger for my AA and AAA batteries. I have charger to charge my camera batteries. Seems like we need to have so many different chargers in our life. Now I need yet another charger to charge the 18650 battery inside my new torch.

When I read that my new torch has rechargeable battery and it looks like AA from its small photo in eBay, I wrongly assumed it uses AA-sized battery. 18650 battery turns out to be larger, and it has different capacities.

I decided to get Efest Luc Mini charger because it looks nice, seems to have decent build quality and has LCD display indicator instead of simple LED. According to its box, it has auto stop charging, reverse polarity protection and short-circuit protection. This charger can charge different batteries: 26650, 26500, 20700, 18650, 18500, 18350, 17340, 16340, 14500 and 10440. To be honest I have no idea why the world needs so many different codes of batteries, but it’s probably just my lack of knowledge.

My Efest charger works as expected. The LCD display seems to show the charging voltage. A bit of surprise because I was expecting Watt or Ampere display.

Not much I can say about a straightforward product designed to do one straightforward job. A good charger that I will keep on using.
